100 days of TouchDesigner

Over the summer of 2023, I co-led an accountability group of my fellow ITP students to participate in 100 Days of Making. I knew I wanted to learn TouchDesigner because of my interest in projection and LED mapping, but throughout the 100 days I ended up really enjoying making generative audio-reactive visuals.
This page shows a few of my favorites in gif form, but you can click through to see the full video with audio. The full 100 Days of TouchDesigner are available on my art Instagram, and the record of what I learned each day is on my Notion page (both linked above).
Following YouTube tutorials, choosing colors that I liked, finding parameters to make audio-reactive or to tweak to be my own, picking out the audio - these little habits in my daily practice this summer meant so much to me. I obviously learned a lot about TouchDesigner and the code-like "logic" behind each network. But beyond the technical learnings, the daily practice taught me so much about myself. This was the first time I've truly dedicated myself to learning something solely just for me, for my own pure enjoyment and fun.
